White-hot Plasma Web
4 layers of Voronoi cells, about 10.47 across, are used only for their edges, which are straight lines that meet three at a time at a node; about 91 percent of the edges are kept, thinned and brightened where a slow noise field says the web is dense, and a wider field colours it from cool to hot, with cell centres drifting so the filaments reach and release.

Good to know
- Cracks in drying mud meet three at a time, and the polygons they cut out are close to Voronoi cells, which is why mud flats and this web look related.
In art
- A dark ground with a few strong, hot centres is the language of astrophotography, where colour is often assigned to the light from different elements.
